The winter white pages, the peak of pencils.
The mountains are sharpened, as are the senses.
Out there the woods stands still as I write.
A man of many habits am I.
Rituals. Acquired tastes. Secluded places.
In this zone I feel comfort.
As light is my timepiece.
Then she comes and I scribble.
New pages are written. The hills yield.
We became greater than the outdoors.
And likewise, she was gone.
The wind blows.
The pages are not white anymore.
A sense of closure awakens me.
Fall has come.
